Rolled flour tortilla stuffed with spicy tuna, cheese, bell peppers and cilantro then fried to a crisp.

Tuna and Cheese Flautas


1/4 cup chopped bell pepper – red, green and yellow

1/4 cup shredded cheese

1 tablespoon chili powder

1-184 grams Century Tuna Chunks Spanish Style, drained

12 small flour tortilla (7 inches diameter)

cooking oil for frying

1/2 cup mayonnaise

2 tablespoons chopped cilantro

2 teaspoons hot pepper sauce


Mix together bell pepper, cheese, chili powder and tuna.

Fill into flour tortilla and roll tightly. Secure with wooden tooth picks if necessary. Fry in hot oil until golden.

Mix mayonnaise, cilantro and hot pepper sauce. Serve as dipping sauce for cheese flautas.

Makes 6 servings.
