Ingredients:
Fish steaks:
¾ cup breadcrumbs
1-184 grams Century Tuna Chunks in Vegetable Oil, drained
¼ cup celery stalks, finely chopped
¼ cup onions, chopped
2 eggs
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
¼ cup cooking oil for pan frying
Mushroom sauce:
¼ cup butter
¼ cup all purpose flour
2 cups beef broth
2 teaspoons liquid seasoning
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 cup sliced mushrooms
Sidings:
mashed potatoes
buttered mixed veggies (carrots, corn and peas)
Procedure:
Combine breadcrumbs, tuna, celery, onions, eggs, salt, pepper. Mix well and form into patties. Chill for a few minutes. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Fry patties on both sides until lightly brown. Set aside, keeping it warm.
To prepare mushroom sauce, melt ¼ cup butter in saucepan. Sauté mushrooms then add flour. Stir in beef broth, add liquid seasoning and pepper. Cook for about 3 to 5 minutes, or until sauce has thickened.
To assemble, place a fish steak on a plate, pour over with mushroom gravy and serve with mashed potatoes and buttered mixed vegetables on the side.
