Sweet tuna dish stir-fried in rich Asian sauce.

Asadong Tuna


¼ cup soy sauce
1 piece star anise
½ teaspoon ginger, chopped
1 tablespoon garlic, chopped
¾ cup water
1 tablespoon Chinese wine
½ cup sugar
1 tablespoon slurry (cornstarch dissolved in 2 tablespoons water)
2 – 184 grams Century Tuna Solid in Vegetable Oil, drained


Combine first 7 ingredients in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat until liquid is reduced in half. Thicken sauce with slurry solution. Add tuna and let simmer for another minute. Serve.

Makes 4 to 6 servings.
