day 1 CENTURY TUNA HOT PUFFS SALAD

Ingredients:
 

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1-184g can Century Tuna Chunks in Vegetable Oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped spring onions
  • 2 cups cooking oil
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • syrup from canned pineapple
  • 1 small can drained pineapple tidbits
  • 2 cups shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds


Procedure:

In a bowl, toss together the flour and baking powder. Add tuna with its oil, egg, salt and pepper. Mix well then stir in spring onions.

Drop batter by spoonfuls into hot oil. Fry until golden brown then drain on paper towels.

In fry pan, combine mayonnaise and pineapple syrup over medium heat. Toss in tuna puffs and pineapple tidbits. Mix well then serve warm on a bed of lettuce topped with sesame seeds.

Makes 3 to 4 servings.
